Getting started
Lockrr blocks the apps and websites that eat your time and lets you earn them back with push-ups, counted live by your camera. After a quick onboarding you'll grant Screen Time, camera, and notification access, choose what to block, and set your earn rate — how many push-ups unlock how much time.
Lockrr requires iOS 16.4 or later and works on iPhone. It does not run in the iOS Simulator because it relies on Apple's Screen Time frameworks, which are available only on a real device.
Blocking apps & websites
How do I block an app or website? Create a blocker and use the Apple picker to select the apps, categories, or websites you want to lock. Selected items are shielded until you earn time.
A blocked app still opens. Make sure Screen Time access is still granted (Settings → Screen Time), and that the app you want is actually included in a blocker. If you recently earned time, the app stays open until that time runs out.
An app re-blocks itself. That's expected — when your earned time expires, Lockrr puts the shield back. For unlocks shorter than about 15 minutes, re-blocking happens the next time you open Lockrr.
Push-ups & the camera
How are push-ups counted? Lockrr uses your front camera and Apple's on-device Vision body-pose detection to count each rep in real time. No photos or video are ever recorded, saved, or uploaded — the camera feed is analyzed on your device and immediately discarded.
My reps aren't counting. Prop your phone so your head, shoulders, and arms are in frame, make sure the area is well lit, and lower far enough that your elbows bend on each rep. Confirm camera access is enabled in Settings → Lockrr → Camera.
Earning & banking time
How do I earn time? When you want into a blocked app, open the earn flow and do push-ups. Each rep credits screen time based on the earn rate you set.
What is banked time? Time you earn but don't use is banked, so you can spend it whenever you need it later.
Can I change my earn rate? Yes — adjust your push-up-to-minutes intensity in the app's settings at any time.
Permissions
Lockrr asks for three permissions: Screen Time (to block the apps and websites you choose), Camera (to count push-ups on your device), and Notifications (to let you know when blocked time is about to resume). You can review or change these in the iOS Settings app under Lockrr and under Screen Time. Blocking and earning won't work without Screen Time and camera access.
Subscriptions & billing
What does the subscription include? Lockrr offers a weekly and an annual subscription that unlock unlimited blocking, earning, and banking. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and subscriptions auto-renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I cancel? Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Lockrr, and choose Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
I switched phones / lost my subscription. Tap Restore Purchases on the Lockrr paywall while signed in to the same Apple ID you purchased with.
Refunds. All purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
Your data & privacy
Lockrr is privacy-first. There are no accounts, push-up detection happens entirely on your device, and the data the app creates stays on your device. To remove all on-device data, delete the app. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
